Julia got us started on the prep for the LOST talk and threw in some 24 to boot!

Julia:
In prep for the long-awaited LOST season premiere next week, Doc Jensen has a column on ew.com that doesn’t have spoilers, but does pose a very interesting theory about next season…and I think I might agree with him. Please read when you can and let’s discuss. I can’t wait to get our little group talking about tv again!
Speaking of that, have any of you watched the first 4 hours of 24? I caught up on it all last night and I am cautiously optimistic that the show is returning to it’s former glory…if not as good as the early seasons, then at least a vast improvement over season 6.
___________
Doc Jensen's article refers to 5 clue-filled episodes and a ComicCon video, I'll refer you to links from our past discussions on these where I can:
1) THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME, PART 2 and PART 3
and
2) This is from the episode before if you are having trouble remembering the build up.
3) ''THE CONSTANT''"
4) FLASHES BEFORE YOUR EYES (Our discussion group didn't track this far back)... but Doc Jensen had a theory at the time.
5) ''CABIN FEVER''

--JJ he is not thru the last 2 hours of the 4 hr 24 premier.
Spoiler free: I like it so far. Not sure I was going to approve of the direction they were heading - but I think it's going to work.
--and yes, LOST. JJ and I just read Doc's article. I think I'm going to watch the recommended episodes over the weekend in prep for the
premier. I have most of them queued up (ie downloaded) so it's just a matter of setting aside some time to watch them.
Heather:
Dude...my tiVo bombed on the 2nd hour from last night and I haven't watched sunday yet. I'll go online 2nite to catch up and report tomorrow
Julia:
That sucks, my friend! It’s pretty good stuff, although I am waiting for Tony to bust out his Cubs mug.
Frank:
Anyone watch LOST on Wednesday? They did the pop-up thing .. which I really like. As an avid viewer, I still like being reminded of the goings-on of the island. I especially like to see what the producers feel is worthwhile to remind you of. Like the fact that between the time Ben turned the frozen donkey wheel to when he appeared in the desert (same scratch on arm, winter jacket, etc) was 11 months - but obviously instantaneous for Ben. Caught a few things like that that were a nice refresher. I'm still going to go back and watch the few episodes Doc Jensen suggested.
Julia:
I watched a few minutes but then ended up switching to something else (my boyfriend isn't a LOST fan, although I keep trying to get him hooked)...my plan is to still rewatch the Doc Jensen eps prior to Wednesday though.
Frank:
If you have it dvr'ed from Wedneday, i suggest watching that copy - good pop-up stuff.
JJ:
hey guys,
i'm not really a fan of the pop up stuff. i think it's too distracting from watching the show and seeing things as intended. some of the info is helpful, but most of it i find i already know or have no trouble remembering... but that's me. i can see how it's good otherwise. i did watch it anyway... just to relish that L O S T is almost back! can't wait for next Wed.
Julia:
Is everybody ready for tonight’s return to LOST??? I cannot wait!!!
Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to review all of the Doc Jensen recommended eps (or even rewatch the season finale…it has been that kind of month), but I am planning on going over all of those eps when I am stuck on a plane to LA in the next week or two.
Can’t wait to discuss/rehash tonight’s ep tomorrow. J
JJ:
the wait is finally over!
prep yourself for tonight at these links here:
